Andriy Shevchenko to Fenerbahce?

Andriy Shevchenko to Fenerbahce?
By Nathan L. Redd
Just when we thought Fenerbahce had lured one of the summer's biggest acquisitions in Roberto Carlos, they may be trying to top themselves already. An article in Tuesday's English publication Times Online lists the top ten summer transfer stories and rumors so far. The author, Russell Kempson, lists the possibility of Chelsea and former AC Milan star joining the Sari Lacivert among his top stories.
Shevchenko was a bonafide superstar at AC Milan, but he joined the "financially-blessed" Blues at Chelsea after last season, along with Bayern Munich's Michael Ballack. Shevchenko hasn't produced at Chelsea like they hoped, and he was rumored earlier this season to be considering a move back to the San Siro to re-join AC Milan. However, Kempson indicates that Fenerbahce may be interested in the superstar.
The summer transfer season is picking up steam by the minute, and Fenerbahce are in the thick of talks for the world's top stars. Stay tuned for more details.

Most laughable rumour ever created - Chelsea paid 30 million for him - and they would want their money back - Fener would never pay this out.

I just report it when I see it....

I know, but to have it printed in an English newspaper makes the club look good. I think it makes people that don't know much about Fener stop and realize that this club is bigger than they thought.

You're right there... Maybe the writer is Turkish :) I saw it on The Times last night - I don't know what the writer was drinking when they thought of this rumour. I love my Fener, but I know they would never fork 30 million on one player - Aziz is a much more intelligent man than Abramovich.
