Fenerbahce, Wederson Make It Official
By Nathan L. Redd

After several weeks of speculation, Fenerbahce did as expected on Monday by signing Gokcek Wederson from Ankaraspor. The club released the official announcement on Monday, and stated that they have signed the Brazilian-born star to the three-year deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In the statement, Wederson spoke of how excited he was to be joining Roberto Carlos in Kadikoy. Wederson becomes yet another Brazilian-born star to play for Fenerbahce, who has developed a loyal fan following in Brazil because of their star Brazilian players.

Now that Wederson has decided to hop off to your lot I hope he is bloody embarrassed at being such an arse-licker to have chosen the name "Gokcek" when he became a Turkish citizen.

I'll make sure to tell him if he comes to New York next week...

I've chosen Netan Kirmizi as my Turkish name. I know it isn't really Turkish, but it sounds Turkish nonetheless.

Why the embarrassment? Just look at who's arse he had to lick for citizenship. Marco Aurelio didn't have that problem. Must be an Ankara thing.... if you know what I mean.
