This Friday evening the Fenerbahce Cumhuriyeti will take over New York City for the 2007 Fenerbahce USA Celebration. The annual event gathers many of Fenerbahce's North American fans together for food, music, and celebration of Fener SK. The gala also features a myriad of special guests. President Aziz Yildirim will be in attendance this year, as well as Nihat Ozdemir, Nihat Ozbag, and legendary Fenerbahce footballers Selcuk Yula and Cemil Turan. There are other special guests expected as well.
In addition, media representatives from Lig TV, FB TV, and Fenerbahce Magazine will be in attendance. I will also be attending and covering this event. I hope to provide photos and updates from the event throughout the weekend.
Coming off the 17th Championship season and with the arrival of Roberto Carlos, there is no better time to be a Fenerbahceli. I hope to meet as many of you as possible in New York this weekend!

Congratulations from The Round Ball in Ankara to Fener on their 100th Birthday. Hope you enjoy the celebrations tonight.
As a matter of interest, I thought you might be interested to know that Middlesbrough will be travelling to Edinburgh on 28 July to play my team, Hibernian, in a `friendly`.
I have asked my good friend Hibbie Kanka Athole to post something on The Round Ball in Ankara about the match, especially the performance of Fener `old boy` Tuncay.
