Fenerbahce Featured on Sky Sports, Al Jazeera

Fenerbahce Featured on Sky Sports, Al Jazeera
By Nathan L. Redd
The signing of Roberto Carlos has landed Fenerbahce major publicity around the world, and the latest coverage came on Tuesday courtesy of Sky Sports. The England-based network's nightly show "Sky Sports News" featured coverage of Carlos arriving at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul amidst a throng of Fenerbahce supporters.
Also on Tuesday, the Arab World was greeted with scenes of Roberto's arrival in Istanbul on the Al Jazeera network. I was pleased to receive messages from two close friends of mine in Jordan and Palestine telling me of the coverage of Roberto Carlos's arrival. The network also included a short feature on Fenerbahce Manager Zico and his connection to the ever-increasing Brazilian roster at Fenerbahce.
Sky Sports News is available in North America each evening on the Fox Soccer Channel. Al Jazeera is available in North America via satellite.

All the hype is now about Roberto Carlos, and quite rightly so if you are a Fener Fan.

However, I thought you might be interested in some news about your departed `hero figure` Tuncay.

Middlesbrough is scheduled to play a `friendly` against my team, Hibernian, in Edinburgh on 28 July, so hopefully Tuncay will be given a `run out`.

That being the case, I will ask my friend Hibbie Kanka Athole to make a post about the match on The Round Ball in Ankara for you to assess how he is settling in.

Watch this space for more.
