Is Fenerbahce Close to Signing Ronaldo?

It seems these days as if every Brazilian who has ever kicked a futbol is being linked to Fenerbahce, and the latest rumor involves superstar Ronaldo. The 30-year-old striker revived his career at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and signed with AC Milan from Real Madrid just six months ago. However, Turkish media outlet Milliyet is reporting that Ronaldo's stay in Milan may be ending, and he could be joining Fenerbahce.

According to a published report on Milliyet's website, Ronaldo's agent called Turkish national Hakan Sukur to tell him his former teammate will be moving to Istanbul. Fenerbahce, AC Milan, nor Ronaldo has confirmed this. If he does sign with Fener, he would join an ever-growing list of Brazilian stars to make his home at Sukru Saracoglu. Fenerbahce is certainly busy these days, as the list of players coming to Kadikoy is being matched by the list of players leaving. Over the weekend it was reported that Rustu Recber and Mehmet Yozgatli are leaving Fener for rivals Besiktas, though this report has not yet been confirmed by Fenerbahce.
