Christoph Daum Saturday turned down an offer to coach German second division club Cologne.
Daum, who has not coached in Germany since a cocaine affair six years ago, was approached by Cologne to succeed Swiss coach Hanspeter Latour. Daum, 53, who is in a Cologne hospital following a throat operation, said he would not be available for coaching offers for the next few weeks because of health reasons. "Cologne need a quick solution," Daum told journalists at the hospital.
