Fenerbahce, Real Madrid to Meet in December?

Roberto Carlos may get the opportunity to play against some familiar faces next month. According to the South African Times, Real Madrid is planning to possibly invite David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy to Spain for a friendly on December 5th. If the invitation to the Galaxy doesn't work out, the report states that Real Madrid will invite Fenerbahce.
The friendly will be billed as the Santiago Bernabeu friendly and the winner will receive a trophy. Real Madrid plays an annual "challenge match" and this year's game was supposed to take place on August 28th against Sporting Lisbon. That match was postponed and it is believed that Sporting Lisbon will be unable to accept the offer on December 5th.
Real Madrid would like to invite the Los Angeles Galaxy because of their mutual teammate, David Beckham. However, Fenerbahce would arguably be a bigger draw with the number of Fener fans in Spain who would attend the match, as well as the club's large international profile. Former Real defender Roberto Carlos is also still a major draw in Spanish futbol.

On occasions I find stories from Hurriyet and possibly once even from the Turkish Daily News, but Nathan you have blown me away by quoting from a Seth Afrikan paper. Amazing :)
Oz, you mean you don't start your day out by flipping through the pages of the South African Times?!?
