Fenerbahce Back in Hunt for Adriano?

Fenerbahce Back in Hunt for Adriano?
By Nathan L. Redd

It was no secret during the offseason that Fenerbahce was interested in Inter Milan striker Adriano. With the summer transfer window closed, those rumors had quited down, but it appears that Fenerbahce may be interested once again.

According to Goal.com, Fenerbahce will make a 5 Million Euro offer to bring Adriano to Kadikoy during the January transfer window. The report states that Adriano makes approximately 5 Million Euros per year with Inter Milan, a salary that could be easily matched by Fenerbahce. That same report indicates that Fener would pay Inter a transfer fee of 5 Million Euros also.

Adriano and Inter boss Roberto Mancini have been at odds for quite some time. Mancini has not included the Brasilian star on the UEFA Champions League roster, as well as several domestic Serie A games. Inter Milan faced Juventus Sunday evening on America's Fox Soccer Channel, but Adriano was left out of this game as well.

Stay tuned to see if the rumor becomes reality after the winter break.
