Atletico Madrid Eyeing Lugano

According to a report by tribalfootball.com, Spain's Atletico Madrid are interested in Fenerbahce defender Diego Lugano. According to the report, Madrid Manager Javier Aguirre is unhappy with the team's defense thus far this season and is looking to bolster it during the January transfer window.

Lugano's name was mentioned often during the summer transfer window, but Fenerbahce made it clear that he was not available. Lugano came to Kadikoy prior to the 2006 season after making his name for Sao Paolo in Brasil.
