Fenerbahce Falls to Besiktas 1-0


In the first leg of the Fortis Turkish Cup semifinals, Fenerbahce fell 1-0 to Besiktas on the road. The lone goal of the game came from Bobo da Silva in the 82nd minute, and Fenerbahce could not equalize in the final moments. The score puts BJK ahead 1-0 on aggregate, but Fenerbahce still has a tremendous opportunity to advance as the series heads to Kadikoy.
Serkan Balci (19), Tumer Metin (63), and Diego Lugano (65) each picked up a yellow card for Fenerbahce. Mustafa Dogan (28), Emilio Delgado (89), and former Yellow Canary Marcio "Mert" Nobre (70) received yellow cards for Besiktas.
The second leg of the semifinal will be played two weeks from tomorrow on April 26 at Sukru Saracoglu in Kadikoy. Please check back for more statistics, photos, and reaction from today's game.
