The League Returns in Full Force: Fenerbahce - Konyaspor Match Preview
By Ozgur R. Nazilli
After a rather disappointing International break to the league, Turkcell Super League is finally back with a home game for Fenerbahce.
The Yellow Canaries will be hosting Konyaspor at Sukru Saracoglu today (Saturday) at 20.00 with Turkish time.
Fenerbahce will be looking to make a good start to the rest of their league campaing after a few weak performances, which have led to Fenerbahce lagging 7 points behind the leaders Galatasaray.
Kezman will be missing from the squad due to his red card. Fans are curious to see who will be taking Kezman's spot on the first 11. The likes of Semih, Ilhan Parlak and Colin Kazim Richards, are all fit and ready to take Kezman's place. The final decision will of course be up to Zico, but the fan favorite at the moment is Semih, with Colin Kazim being a close second.
Hopefully, Fener will start a good run with the Konyaspor and win a couple of games in a row. Both the fans and the players could use a morale boost in the league. The European graph makes us all proud, but Fenerbahce is a big club, and the fans expect Fener to be competitive in all three: The European leagues, Turkish league, and the Turkish cup. Success in only one area is not enough anymore.
Fenerbahce Worldwide owner Nathan L. Redd will be watching the game live in Sukru Saracoglu, and we will hear about his observations once he gets back from his trip, or possibly sooner, if he has time to write for Fenerbahce Worldwide while he is in Turkey.
