Players, Coaches Arriving for Preseason Training

The offseason holiday for Fenerbahce players and staff is coming to a close as many players and coaches arrived in Istanbul over the weekend. Each coach and player will go through a series of preseason medical examinations to determine their fitness for the upcoming camp. Several players have yet to check in at Acibadem Hospital, including defensive back Diego Lugano who is still with the Uruguayan National Team at the Copa America Tournament in Venezuela. The remaining players are expected back early this week to begin preseason preparations.

The team will hold its preseason camp one week from today in Bad Tatzmanndorf, Austria. The camp will run from July 9 - July 22. The club has yet to announce any preseason friendlies just yet.

The players are eager to get out of the heat wave being experienced in Istanbul currently. Record highs have been set throughout Turkiye, making for unpleasant futbol training conditions.
