Villareal Ready to Make Offer for Lugano

Spanish side Villareal are reportedly interested in Fenerbahce star Diego Lugano and ready to make a move. According to Spanish media outlet Marca, the club is ready to offer Fenerbahce 6 Million Euros for the Uruguayan national.

The 26-year-old defender joined Fenerbahce prior to last season. He missed all of the preseason camp and friendlies due to his participation in the Copa America tournament in Venezuela. Real Madrid was also reportedly interested in Lugano early in the offseason. Fenerbahce stated on their website Wednesday that they do not anticipate any more transfers coming in to Kadikoy before the season.
