Are West Ham United Back in the Hunt for Appiah?

Just when you thought the Stephen Appiah exit rumors had died, one English media outlet reports that West Ham United has re-opened their interest. ThisisLondon.co.uk reports that West Ham United are "closing in" on Appiah once again.

Appiah has missed the first two Fenerbahce Super Lig games as well as the UEFA Champions League match due to injury. He has been in rehab for the injury and appears close to joining the squad in 2-3 weeks. Appiah will also be out of action for his native Ghana's upcoming international matches.

West Ham United was one of many suitors after Appiah earlier this summer, but it appeared a few weeks ago that Appiah and Fenerbahce and recommitted themselves to each other and the rumors had died. Appiah is hopeful to join his teammates for Week Four or Week Five of the Turkcell Super Lig fixtures.
