Anderlecht's Hassan Laments Fenerbahce Draw

Anderlecht's Hassan Laments Fenerbahce Draw
By Nathan L. Redd
When the UEFA Champions League draw was announced on Friday, one man who was not happy was Anderlecht midfielder Ahmed Hassan. The Egyptian national told Anderlecht-Online.be "The last thing I wished for was a draw against Fenerbahçe. They have a great audience that support them all the time. And players like Roberto Carlos, Kezman or Alex are great."
Fenerbahce fans were pleased overall with the draw, but they know that disposing of the Belgium champs will be no easy task. They are a club with recent Champions League experience, and they know what it's like to play in the big game, having dominated Belgian football throughout much of the club's history. Hassan, however, hopes that Anderlecht's youthful squad finds their chemistry before the first leg. "We have a young team, so I hope we are capable to beat them with this young talented team. It's a very good thing that we won the first matchday of the championship, and I'm sure we will still grow" he said.
First leg of the match will take place on August 14 or 15 at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.
