Volkan Out of National Team Matches

According to Turkish media outlet Hurriyet, Fenerbahce goalkeeper Volkan Demirel will miss the two upcoming Turkiye National Team Euro 2008 qualifiers with an injury. Volkan will be sidelined for the games against Malta and Hungary in the coming days. To replace Volkan, Turkiye National Manager Fatih Terim has called up Ankaragucu goalkeeper Serkan Kirintili. Terim also announced that Gokhan Zan will miss the upcoming games as well. Volkan's absence means that only two Fenerbahce players will represent Turkiye in the upcoming games - Deniz Baris and Marco Mehmet Aurelio.
