Opening Day! Fenerbahce vs. Istanbul BB Spor

Match day is finally here, as reigning champions Fenerbahce kick-off the Turkcell Super Lig season against newly-promoted Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor tonight in Istanbul. Ataturk Memorial Stadium, pictured above, will play host to the season opener. BB Spor's Abdullah Avci will have no problems motivating his troops tonight, with their first game as a Super Lig club against the powerhouse Fenerbahce on their home pitch. Fenerbahce should cruise in this game, but Buyuksehir Belediyespor will be playing for points. If Fenerbahce brings their C-game, they could have a tougher fight on their hands than expected. However, as long as Zico's side shows up ready to play, Istanbul BB Spor should be no match for the reigning champions.

Kick-off is scheduled for 21:45 Friday evening (2:45 PM EST in the U.S.). The game will be broadcast online by Digiturk.
