Turkiye Jumps to #17 In Latest FIFA World Rankings

Turkiye jumped ten spots to #17 in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on Wednesday. They were one of the biggest movers of the new rankings, along with Russia who jumped seven spots to #16. The boost comes off of an impressive Turkish victory over Greece and a draw against Norway. Turkiye currently sits atop their group in Euro 2008 qualifying. They return to action again in June.
Italy maintained the top spot, and Greece fell two spots to #15 after their home thrashing against their rivals. England fell two spots to #8 after their recent struggles under new manager Steve McClaren. Mexico jumped three spots up to #18, right behind Turkiye. Cameroon also made a big jump, up five spots to #13.
