AZ Alkmaar Back Mendes da Silva To Miss Fenerbahce Game

AZ Alkmaar's defensive back David Mendes da Silva will miss tomorrow's game with Fenerbahce, following a knee injury suffered in Dutch league play over the weekend. Mendes da Silva was suspended for the opening leg last week in Istanbul, but AZ was hopeful about having him back for the second leg in Holland.

Mendes da Silva tore knee ligaments in Sunday's 1-1 draw between AZ Alkmaar and FC Groningen in Dutch league play.
