Fener Draws AZ-Alkmaar As Next UEFA Cup Opponent

Today's UEFA Cup draw in Switzerland revealed that AZ-Alkmaar from the Netherlands will be the next Fenerbahce opponent. AZ will come to Sukru Saracoglu for the first leg on February 14th, then Fener will travel to the Netherlands for the second leg on February 22nd. Should Fener advance, they would face either Newcastle United or Zulte Waregem in the final sixteen.

AZ-Alkmaar and Fener have a common opponent, as AZ faced Kayserispor at the beginning of the UEFA Cup. AZ narrowly got past Kayseri on a 4-3 aggregate.
